First--here's "Feelin' the power" heading for the LO showing DD Bethany using the leaf blower on the deck ...

We have to do this a couple times a day lately. The leaves are falling fast.

Hope to see some pretty color this next week if the rain doesn't beat all the leaves off the trees.


Second--two Twitterpated cards ...

Close To My Heart Stickease makes card making so fun and simple. And it's a great alternative to stamping, especially while my eyes are not quite up to little detail work.

And Third--a Twitterpated bookmark using more cardstock and Stickease ...

Here's my first attempt at machine stitching on cardstock. HELP! I can't blame this funny zig (NOT) zag look on my poor eyes. Could it be the tension? (the machine's...not mine!)

If you're a paper crafting stitcher and have any hints for me, send them my way, 'cause I'm gonna keep trying and get this right! I love sewing, and wish I had tried this long ago! I'm grabbing the challenge.

Actually, I think I've come up with a really unique ziggity skippity zaggity look without even trying!

These are the sunshines in my days, along with S-I-L, Christopher, not pictured here. He's such a busy husband, daddy, and teacher.

This weekend I hope to be better at capturing everyone for some new pix, and the sun has promised to shine. I'm counting on it.

I thank You, Lord, for each of these blessings in my life. You are good ALL the time!

We're Home!

These are a sampling of the photos from our past two weeks on the road throughout Michigan and NW Ohio.

Sadly, DH's oldest brother died suddenly on September 24 just after his 72nd birthday, and so we traveled to the Michigan Thumb for the visitation, funeral service, and memorial service. Thankfully he died without any suffering, peacefully in his sleep, and knowing Jesus was his Lord and Savior. That is the best reason to celebrate LIFE. So, for a Christian family, saying goodbye to a loved one is sad, but it's also joy-filled knowing that we'll see Herb again in heaven someday where Jesus will give us perfect JOY.

After our Michigan week, we spent another week in Ohio with my parents and my Uncle Jim who visited from Colorado. There we celebrated each of their 80-something birthdays and saw quite a few relatives and friends.

I've missed our family SO much, as well as paper crafting and blogging, and I've missed my CTMH and faith blogging friends. I hope to ease back into a new routine soon while also awaiting the birth of our second grandbaby in a few weeks.

God is good ALL the time!
