Shadow Shot Sunday






Shadows of the still-blooming geraniums
outdoors on our deck,
decorated with the fallen oak leaves...

and the Christmas cactus blooms,
a sweet surprise

    A beautiful cactus in bloom is so beautiful - we have some buds, but one opened on Thanksgiving. The subtle shadow and scarlet flowers are elegant and delicate - a lovely look at the holiday plant!

    No kidding! Whenever a Christmas cactus blooms it is always a surprise! I hear they require specific things to be in place for them to bloom again as a houseplant. So, bravo(a)! How appropriate with the Advent Season kicking off this weekend.

    We used to have a wonderful Christmas Cactus when the children were still small, and now they have their own children, so thanks for bringing back those happy memories. I love both your colourful shots.

    Jane, You must have a green thumb - my Christmas cactus is just now beginning to think about pushing out a bloom, or two. LOL

    thanks for stopping by..my Christmas cactus bloomed just before Thanksgiving, as it did last year.
    Mine is much smaller than yours, but I love it. They are so pretty.
