H2H Challenge: A Stamped Sentiment

Clear Card Front -- Art Philosophy Cricut layered flowers on Dimensional Scallop

Inside -- The Stamped Sentiment

(Before I added the mini brads inside)

It's "Sentiment challenge" time at Heart 2 Heart Challenges! We were challenged to use only a stamped sentiment and no other stamps on a project. Here's my clear acrylic card with the sentiment inside. If you know me, you know I just LOVE making clear acrylic cards in a CAS style.

I used all CTMH products:

Sentiment:  "Flower Pot"  D1409
Clear Acrylic Scalloped Card Base
Roxie CS
Felicity B&T
Art Philosophy Cricut flowers and Dimensional Scallop Die Cut
Ink: Hollyhock
Mini brads
Natural hemp
Liquid glass

Be sure to look at all the great paper art at Heart 2 Heart!

I've enjoyed being a guest design team member for the month of September. Thanks to Mary and all the DT members for having me share my paper art through H2H.  I always love to see all your creative paper art work!

So glad you stopped by!

Wonderland Clear Card - H2H Challenge

For the "CASE" Heart2Heart challenge this month, I chose to CASE Pamela O'Connor's pretty circle card shown here with the cute giraffe:

Thanks for your inspiration, Pamela! I  love all your paper patterns and elements!

At the top of my post is my simple winter version using a CTMH clear acrylic card and the Wonderland WOTG papers and stamps (mittens and sentiment). It's definitely "mind over matter" here as I scrap in 102 degree heat -- today's heat index is 114 degrees! The AC feels great set at 81!

First I ran the clear card through the Cuttlebug to emboss snowflakes on its front.

I cut the snowflake using CTMH's Art Philosophy Cricut cartridge. A Jingle brad holds the mittens onto the snowflake. Inks are Cocoa and Twilight.  I "stamp-rolled" the canvas button to show yet another snowflake.

I LOVE clear cards & will be selling this one, along with others, at a September benefit at Purina Farms in Gray Summit, Missouri for a dog rescue mission.

Thanks for visiting my blog! Happy scrapping!

Happy Anniversary -- More Mayberry!

Happy Anniversary!

This is my second post today, showcasing the springy-cheery-delightful "Mayberry" papers from CTMH. So please scroll down to see the "Happy Everything" card too.

I used all CTMH products except for the big honey colored flower from M*s -- it's so bright and cheerful! Have I mentioned how much fun I have creating CTMH clear acrylic cards? Just LOVE 'em!

Clear Acrylic Cards -- More Mayberry!

That's my wish for a dear cardmaking friend!

I used all CTMH materials except for the big cheerful flower from M*s. It makes me smile.

Mayberry -- Happy Birthday Card

Just a quick clear acrylic card for a special someone's birthday!

I LOVE creating with clear cards -- once you plan how to hide the inside, it's so much fun! The back is always a surprise too.

I used CTMH Mayberry papers, medium white paper flowers, summer green buttons, a dimensional element tag, pop dots, Olive ink, and an old "Happy Birthday" stamp from CTMH.

Thanks for stopping by my blog!

Make a Wish Clear Card

I played with the Cuttlebug again, embossing the clear acrylic cards, and used some of my paper stash and little Verve birthday stamps too in addition to the CTMH star swirls and CTMH ink.
Happy birthday to my blogging librarian friend Jane in SD! I hope to hear that your card survived the snail mail okay. And I hope you had a warm, happy celebration with your family and friends yesterday--and enjoyed your MLK holiday too!

Valentines by Cuttlebuggin'

How fun to use the Cuttlebug to emboss the CTMH clear acrylic cards and the papers too!

I used some Elegant Bouquet paper scraps and its coordinating Stickease. It's so super easy to line up those Stickease items on an acrylic card. FUN, simple, easy, and did I say fun?

And one more with a Cuttlebug swirl:

We're having a "snow day" today, a great time to watch the cardinals, woodpeckers, blue jays, and nuthatches at the feeders and make homemade soup.
Thanks for looking! Keep your hearts and homes warm and safe!

(White ribbon & silver embellisments are from my non-CTMH stash.)

Celebrate the Occasion

After watching the Art and Soul webisode, I was determined to try the Stazon ink on a clear acrylic card. Wow. It takes practice! I need MORE practice! The trick is to place the stamp and then lift directly up--carefully--to avoid smudging. Next time I'll try the black Stazon.
I used all Close To My Heart products for this man-card. To give the cake image on the front some dimension, I used a lot of pop squares. The cake pops right onto your table (well, almost). All ya need is a fork and a napkin.

It's a good day to stay in and warm. My feet love the warm air vent in my little studio. (It feels almost as good as a furry dog would lying across my feet. I can picture that furry dog, and wait patiently for the new dog day.)

BTW, I mentioned to DH that the studio seems so much smaller lately. He just smiles and flips the remote to another football game. I sometimes wonder if anyone would miss me if I were buried under all the pretty papers and embellies. Please, please call me for dinner.

Happy crafting! Thanks for stopping to visit!

If you leave me a comment, double thanks! (I get many lookers, but only a few faithful commenters.) I do appreciate your taking the time to leave a little love!

Veranda Clear Birthday Card

It's a happy birthday card for a dear teacher-friend -- she's a New Year's baby -- gotta get it into the mail now!

How I wish she and I could sit on a veranda and sip birthday cosmos together! Let's pretend we're doing it and say that we did! Happy birthday, dear Wendy!

I used all Close To My Heart products: clear rectangle card, summer sheer ribbon, Veranda papers, clear buttons, waxy flax, Crystal blue ink (I cut the polka dot heart from one of the CTMH paper labels--love those dots!).

I cut the flower layers freehand, and used the paper piercer to make two holes in each layer so the petals could be bent into a little dimensional flower secured with the larger clear button and waxy flax. Easy peasy.

If you use the clear Acrylix cards, remember to remove the protective covering across the outside and the inside. I stick my paper piercer into a corner to get it started to lift and peel. It's similar to removing a facial masque! Start at one corner, and peel slowly and patiently.

Thanks for stopping by!

Happy 4th Day of Christmas!

More Clear Acrylic Cards

Close To My Heart's clear acrylic card bases are some of my favorite items--

These are some of the card designs I made for the vendor fair. I find it challenging in a fun way to decide how to place the papers and the sentiments so that the recipient is surprised when he or she opens the card!
