Sparkle & Shine Rejoice Christmas Banner

Here's one of my Sparkle & Shine banners
using that pretty new CTMH paper packet
and also one of the patterned papers from the retired Jingle packet
(behind the J and the I).

The CTMH Artbooking Cricut cartridge was used to cut the
trees and letters.
I used the Art Philosophy to cut the circles and circle frames.

I cut the pennant bases from poster board.

Additional items I used are the silver glitter paper,
Shimmer trim, Sparkles, and the Metallic flowers.

A closer view:

This banner is going into the mail
to surprise two very special people,
with hopes that it brightens their living room with Christmas-y colors
and cheer.

I used:
CTMH Jingle papers
Mistletoe embellishments
White ric rac
Tulip and Juniper inks
Christmas stamps
Bonding Memories Adhesive
Glue Dots

Other: MS star punch

And remember to make the card inside eye appealing too!

Two randomly stamped sentiments inside the card:

Jingle All the Way

The colors in the Jingle paper packet have always been my favorites -- and the Baker's Twine seemed to be a natural complement to the gift boxes' designs and colors.

So simple. Paper strips. Adhesive. Baker's Twine. Sparkles. And a couple favorite stamps and inks too--Juniper and Tulip.

It's "jingle all the way" with Christmas music playing in StudioJane as I use some of my scraps and stay warm inside.

Glad you stopped by!

A Variety of Cards

Today is the vendor fair -- wish me success!
Here is a small sampling of 200 greeting cards I've created to sell.
All of them use Close To My Heart papers and embellishments.
Half of them include my floral photography.

Christmas Candy Countdown

I made these Christmas Candy Countdowns for this weekend's vendor fair -- and I was so happy to find the "gluten free" candy ball packets at Big Lots! A few years ago I saw this idea, and adapted the size and the verse for this project. I made a bunch using small candy canes too, and called it "Candy Cane Countdown." I used the Jingle candy cane striped papers for those.

Jingle papers are so cheerful with the non-traditional Christmas colors in Juniper and Tulip. Oh, I do love all the greens and reds too ... and I'm using every single piece and not wasting a scrap. Frugal, just like momma taught me to be.

These 10 candy packets will help young children count down the last, very slow 10 days until Christmas Day.

Glad you stopped by -- and I appreciate your comments too!

Christmas Card Memory Keeper Box

I just know someone will like this as a gift! It's one of the items I'll have at the local vendor fair this coming weekend. I combined the Jingle and Mistletoe papers and used the Jingle trees Stickease, along with the dimensional alphabet.

Back to work now! It's time to wash off the glue and begin the pumpkin pie baking. Don't you just love the smells of Thanksgiving season foods? Does anyone like extra-spicy cloves and cinnamon and nutmeg in your pumpkin pies? I do!

Thanks for looking and for leaving some love!

Merry Christmas in August!

It's "Jingle All the Way" as the Christmas music plays here.
Today I got to play with the '09 CTMH Christmas papers called "Jingle" and I finished two 2-page layouts using our 2009 family Christmas photos.

It made me feel at least 10 degrees cooler.

I used:
CTMH Jingle Paper Levels 1 & 2
and Stickease
Juniper Grosgrain Ribbon
Dimensional Element Stars & Snowflakes
Prisma Glitter
Liquid Glass
Sheer Ribbon
Sparkles and Itty Bitty Sparkles
(aqua jewels not CTMH)
Flip Flaps (not pictured,
but I layered a few on each Memory Protector Page)

Layout 2, Page 1 needs something across the bottom--
I may journal on vellum here.
If you have a good idea for me, please chime in!

This is my second post today,
so please scroll down for "Olivia."
Thanks for looking & leaving some love.

I'm Jingle-ing Again

with the Close To My Heart "Jingle" paper packet tonight.

It's been quite a while since I've taken any time to create with paper crafting supplies, and it's so good to get back to the studio. Tonight's projects have been super simple. I'm still experiencing severe dry eyes and am not able to use them for extended time periods. In between doing things, I use my RX eye drops and just close them and listen to uplifting Christmas CDs. It's called ENJOY.

This evening I made more cards with dimensional snowflakes, glitter, Sparkles, spiral clips, and Juniper ribbon ... here are some of the cards:

I love these Jingle papers, full of snowflakes, Christmas trees, decorated gifts, polka dots, and more.
I'm reminded that God our Father created every snowflake and evergreen tree unique and different, to be part of His beautiful creation
for us to enjoy and share with others.
God is so good!
When He sent His Son Jesus to be born
and to grow up to be our Savior from sin,
He gave us His best gift He could ever give!
He "made our spirits bright"
with the Light of Jesus' love.
That's the message I love in this Jingle paper!
Let's keep CHRIST in Christmas
and focus on Him during this season.

I random stamped the cards inside with Tulip
and added the Juniper sentiment:

and then I made a set of 10 thank-you notes
for a stocking stuffer ...

(Each of these was quick and easy, using mostly scraps--
that's such a rewarding feeling--
no wasting this gorgeous paper!)

Last, I decorated quite a few paper gift bags I had purchased
at the dollar store ... handy for giving homemade treats to friends!

Happy new week, everyone, and thanks for looking!

Jingle Origami Christmas Wreath Ornament

When I saw Tina Sutton's "Jingle" origami wreath here, I knew I had to try one of these! What a pretty tree ornament or a gift ornament this can be.

You can find the origami tutorial here. It's easy AND fun!

I used 12 four-inch squares of Close To My Heart "Jingle" papers, and an additional four-inch square of cardstock for the measuring tool.

I cut two holly leaves and attached them with Liquid Glass. (You could also use a cluster of silk holly leaves or a leaf punch.) The sheer white ribbon I used is White Colonial from CTMH.

I painted the pearls using a Hollyhock marker to create the holly berries.

This was a big hit at my CTMH Open House yesterday afternoon! Thanks for the heads up, Tina! Keep up the great work.

Happy new week, everyone!

Jingle All the Way

This CTMH paper packet's colors are almost edible...peppermint sticks...pastel gum drops...sugar cookies ... lollipops...it's making me hungry!

Jingle has a variety of solid cardstock colors and patterned papers showing tree ornaments, Christmas trees, polka dots, stripes, snowflakes, and more...

Here's my latest Jingle card front:

and card inside, using the "making spirits bright" theme from the front:

Anticipating not much time these next few months to create scrapbook layouts, I prepared this for a 2009 family layout using Jingle:

Page 1 shows a 5 x 7 photo frame, Juniper ribbon, dimensional element snowflakes and Sparkles, and MyStickease title ...

Page 2 provides four 4 x 6 photo frames ... clean and simple ...

And a couple Christmas tree ornaments using Jingle papers & ribbon & dimensional element snowflakes (positive & negative shapes) covered with Liquid Glass & Prisma Glitter -- the base circles are coasters from a bar & grille. A fun project for kiddos!

Jingle also has a gift-patterned paper!
Voila! Birthday cards!

Birthday card 1 for a special woman:

Card 1 with simple sentiment inside:

Birthday card 2 (this has to get mailed today to Dad who turns the GREAT 88 next week!):

Card 2 inside: a surprise "gift" pocket pull-out ...

A little something special for Dad to use for his amateur radio equipment he's had his eyes on! (A gift check is attached to the back of the pullout.)

Happy birthday, dear Dad!

Jingle all the way!
