The "I Heart Faces" site has a Hands-On Fun challenge this week.
This is my entry.
I took this photo of Dad and Mom's hands on the day
we celebrated their 63rd wedding anniversary last April.
When Dad came home alive from World War II,
he spent some time recovering,
they spent time together,
and he proposed to Mom on a June evening
by a blooming lilac bush.
They've held hands ever since,
in good times and in hard times,
in work and in play,
during fun times and times of sorrow.
They are servant hands.
This is a tribute to two of my favorite persons
and the love they share
from their hearts and their hands.
See more beautiful hands at I Heart Faces.

Hi Jane! I've missed you!
I love this photo - I love people's hands - they tell so much about a person if you let them.
Hugs!
Jane, this is beautiful...the photography AND the poetry. Thanks for sharing.
