Shadow Shot Sunday

The lonely garden pinwheel nearly spun itself right off to Pennsylvania with the recent gusty winds from the west! As I looked out our kitchen window, I saw that it was casting its shadow, and grabbed my P&S to take the photo from inside through the glass. Not bad. Didn't feel any pain that way. Then I went to look at our deck, and saw that our icicle Christmas lights were creating twig-like shadows there in the snow. Again, a through the glass shot. Nice surprises!

We've been drinking hot chocolate, hot cider, hot Dr Pepper, hot water with lemon, hot tea, and DH includes hot coffee once in a blue moon. I switched to cold cranberry juice a few mornings ago, and found this little surprise as I was toasting my cinnamon raisin bagel. The vertical blinds at the patio door created a neat illusion of an artsy table!

Have a wonderful winter week, everyone,
and be sure to visit heyharriet to see a variety of interesting Shadow Shots!

Nice through the glass shots-you can't even tell! Well, I can't, anyway.
Hot Dr. Pepper??? Why not hot cranberry juice then? LOL
That is a beautiful capture of the cranberry juice and blinds shadows.

Great, snowy, cold shadows for the day and I love the cup of hot tea or whatever you're drinking today, as long as it warms you up! It does look cold, but beautiful -- of course, I'm not there, but I do remember snow!! Have a great weekend, Jane, and stay warm!

The fence along the snow leaves an angular and nice shadow. Perhaps like a sort of tic-tac-toe on the cold ground. Yet the class looks warm with its colorul shadow. Neat!

Love the pinwheel, bravely facing the elements. Me, I'd rather be inside drinking that hot chocolate!

Hello Jane!

Such fun shadow shots! I love the fence with those bold lines.

HOT Dr Pepper?!?! That is a new one to me. Dr Pepper is one of my favorite drinks though I don't really enjoy soda. Can't imagine drinking it any other way but icy-cold. Should I give it a try :)

It is so nice visiting your God-honoring blog. I hope to read more of your posts and get to know you better.

Kindly, ldh

Ohhh, that looks yummy, I get tired of all the hot drinks, but need them to survive the freeze. Nothin' like a hot cup of coco to chase away the chills...stay warm!

I like those lights -- glad you told what they were or I wouldn't have guessed.

What a sweet little pinwheel! Now that's quite a variety of yummy sounding beverages that you've been enjoying. I've never tried hot Dr Pepper before. Actually I've never heard of it! The cold bottles of Dr Pepper never really took off over here in a big way but I still see them in some shops. Keep warm my friend!
